Description : | Shrubby perennial, to about 1 m high; young stems densely appressed-pubescent; stipules deltoid, attenuate, pubescent to subglabrous, 4-5 mm long, 1 mm wide at the base; leaves imparipinnate, (3-5-)7-11-foliolate; leaflets essentially equal in size, 1-2.5 cm long, 5-12 mm wide, elliptic to oblong or obovate-oblong, obtuse or slightly emarginate at the apex, rounded to cuneate at the base, subcoriaceous, glabrous, nitid above, sericeous beneath; inflorescences pseudo-racemose, axillary, or leaf-opposed, about as long as the leaves, with few flowers towards the apex of the peduncle; bracts deltoid, lanceolate, attenuate, pubescent; flowers about 8-10 mm long on short pedicels; calyx pubescent, 3.5-4 mm long with attenuate lobes; petals reddish-orange with vexillum sericeous on the outer face; style bearded; fruit linear-oblong, essentially straight, 4-6.5 cm long, 5-6 mm wide, sparsely pubescent with appressed or subappressed hairs, about 6-9-seeded. | |||||||||||||
