| Description : |
an erect gragrious herb, growing to 20-30 cm high. Stems and branches are hairy. Oppositely arranged, ovate-lancelike leaves are 3-5 cm long. Leaves are long tipped and hairy on both sides. Leaf stalks are 4-7 mm. Light pink to deep purple, funnel shaped flowers occur in cymes at the end of branches and in leaf axils. The flower tube is 5-6 mm long with 4 triangular petals. Stamens, 4 in number, protrude out of the flower. Capsules are black, clustered into a beehive shape. Flowering: July-August. |
