| Description : |
A herb. Common among grasses on the floor of scrubs. The plant comes up after the rains. 10-15 cm herb with a perennial tunicated bulb,(Bulb ovoid1.5-4cm across) leaves radicle, succulent , purplish blotches on the upper surface of the leaf is an identificating feature. The apex of leaf on touch with soil produces new plants from advetitious bud. leaves (Reproductory lef)Scape 5-10cm tall, Flowers pinkish-green on racemes,Perianth 6 lobes, persistent, stamens 6, anthers versetile, ovary sessile, 3 celled, Capsule globose, purplish brown. |
