Description : Annual. Stems erect, 4-25 cm, unbranched or with few lateral branches, leafy, with spreading firm, eglandular hairs. Leaves oblong-elliptic, cuneate, subentire to slightly crenate, 4 x 1 cm, with adpressed long eglandular hairs, dearly gland-dotted; petiole on lower leaves up to 1 cm, subabsent above. Verticillasters 2-4, distant, 1.5-2.5 cm in diameter, relatively lax, c. 12-24-flowered. Bracts narrow ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, equal to or somewhat shorter than calyces, ciliate on margins. Calyx c. 10 mm, tubular, prominently curved and almost reflexed in fruit, hairy in throat, with a somewhat oblique mouth, gland-dotted and with spreading eglandular hairs; teeth 10, unequal, narrow linear-lanceolate, acuminate mucronulate, longest teeth up to 2.5 mm. Corolla white 10-12 mm; upper lip short bearded; lower lip clearly longer than upper. Nutlets narrow oblong, scarcely trigonous, 2.5 x 1 mm, smooth. Fl. Per.: August-October.
