| Description : | Culms ascending from a prostrate, straggling base, to 50 cm; nodes pubescent to villous. Leaf-blades 5-12 x 0.6-2 cm, glabrous, margins scabrid and basally long ciliate; ligule to 0.1 cm. Racemes 4-7, obliquely erect, to 5 cm, subsessile; rachis to 0.3 cm wide, angular, scabrid. Spikelets lanceolate, to 0.5 cm, glabrous; pedicels to 0.15 cm, usually with a few bristles. Lower glume broadly ovate, to 0.15 cm, 3-5-veined; upper glume ovate-lanceolate, to 0.5 cm, 7-9-veined. Lower lemma 5-veined; palea broadly oblong, to 0.4 cm, acuminate; upper lemma broadly elliptic, to 0.3 cm, mucro to 0.02 cm. | |||||||||||||
