| Description : | Large tree upto 25m high with distinct rough grey deeply cracked bark into oblong segments. Leaves alternate, elliptic-oblong or ovate, 8.3-34x5.4-16.5cm, sparsely hairy abov, densely covered with soft pubescence beneath, base usually oblique, apex actue, margin entire or obscurely serrate; petiole upto 1cm long with 2 large glands on it or at the base; with secondary nerves 6-17 pairs, raised beneath, curving just below the margin. Flowers greenish yellow, bisexual, in axillary and terminal panicles. Calyx villous, lobes ovate- triangular. Fruit 5-winged, with horizontal veins. | |||||||||||||
